The Bangor Trail – A Journey Through Mayo's Untamed Wilderness Discover one of Ireland's most remote and rewarding hiking routes on the Bangor Trail, a challenging long-distance walk through the spectacular wilderness of North Mayo. Stretching approximately 39 kilometres between Bangor Erris and Newport, this historic trail takes walkers deep into the Nephin Beg mountain range, where vast blanket bogs, rugged hills and peaceful valleys create an unforgettable outdoor experience.
